This catalogue is for Tesfaye Urgessa's solo exhibition at Saatchi Yates Miami from 22 November - 20 December, 2022. The catalogue includes a catalogue essay by Alayo Akinkugbe, eight new paintings completed in the artist's studio in Addis Ababa, Etihopia, and twenty-three paintings completed in the artist's studio in Nürtingen, Germany. There are also eleven oil and charcoal paintings on paper and fourteen graphite on paper drawings. All fifty-six artworks by Tesfaye Urgessa from 2021-2022 are illustrated in colour throughout; including insightful images of the artist working in both his Addis Ababa studio and his Nürtingen studio.
